  • 3 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese and Butter: In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or using an electric hand mixer and a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter on medium-high speed for about 3 minutes until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to incorporate all the ingredients evenly.
  2. Add Powdered Sugar, Cocoa, and Salt: Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder to eliminate lumps, then add them along with the salt to the cream cheese and butter mixture. Mix on low speed initially to combine all ingredients well. Scrape the bowl thoroughly, then increase to medium-high speed and beat for about 1 minute until the frosting becomes smooth and whipped.
