Witches’ Brew Popcorn is a fun and spooky treat perfect for Halloween parties or themed gatherings. This easy-to-make snack combines crispy popcorn with sweet white chocolate tinted green, crunchy pretzel sticks, playful gummy worms, and candy eyes for a delightfully creepy and colorful mix that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Popcorn Base

  • 10 cups popped popcorn

Chocolate Coating

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Green food coloring

Add-ins

  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup gummy worms
  • Candy eyes (about 1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Melt the white chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
  2. Add green color: Stir in a few drops of green food coloring into the melted white chocolate until you achieve a vibrant green color.
  3. Coat the popcorn: Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the colored white chocolate over the popcorn and gently toss with a spatula or spoon to evenly coat the popcorn without breaking it.
  4. Add pretzels and gummy worms: Sprinkle the pretzel sticks and gummy worms over the coated popcorn and gently mix them in to distribute evenly.
  5. Decorate with candy eyes: Scatter candy eyes on top for a spooky, witchy appearance.
  6. Set and serve: Spread the popcorn mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes until firm. Once set, break into clusters and serve.

Notes

  • Use good quality white chocolate chips for a smoother coating.
  • Add the candy eyes after coating the popcorn so they stay visible and don’t melt into the chocolate.
  • For extra fun, you can mix in other Halloween candies like candy corn or mini marshmallows.
  • Store leftover Witches’ Brew Popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Ensure the popcorn is fully popped and cooled before coating to avoid sogginess.
