Delightfully sweet Valentine’s Oreo Truffles made with golden Oreo cookies, creamy cream cheese, and coated in vanilla candy melts, decorated with festive sprinkles. These no-bake treats are perfect for sharing or gifting during the holiday of love.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 3642 golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 20 drops pink food coloring, divided (adjust to color preference)

Coating

  • 16 ounces vanilla candy coating
  • Favorite Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place 36 Oreo cookies in a food processor or smash them in a sealed bag until fine crumbs form.
  2. Mix Ingredients: Transfer the crumbs to a mixer or keep in the processor, add softened cream cheese and 10 drops of pink food coloring, mixing thoroughly until it forms a sticky dough.
  3. Shape the Truffles: Using a small ice cream scoop, melon baller, or rounded teaspoon, scoop uniform amounts of the mixture and roll between your palms into firm 1 1/4 inch balls. If mixture is too thin, add more cookie crumbs.
  4. Freeze the Balls: Place the rolled balls on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and freeze while preparing the candy coating.
  5. Melt Candy Coating: Break up the vanilla candy coating and microwave in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  6. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted candy coating, tapping off excess on the bowl’s edge.
  7. Decorate: Place the coated truffles on parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with Valentine-themed sprinkles while the coating is still soft.
  8. Repeat Dipping: Continue dipping and decorating remaining truffles until all are coated.
  9. Set the Coating: Refrigerate the tray of dipped truffles for at least 15 minutes until the coating sets solid.
  10. Serve: Allow the truffles to come to room temperature before serving for the best flavor and texture. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Storage: Keep the truffles in the refrigerator until serving. They taste best cold but can be left at room temperature for up to 2 hours as per FDA guidelines for cream cheese.
  • Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Freezer: Freeze truffles for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
  • Color Adjustments: Add more or fewer food coloring drops to achieve your desired pink shade.
  • Consistency Tip: If the mixture feels too loose to form balls, incorporate additional crushed Oreos.
