Thai Spice Sweet Tea

Enjoy the exotic flavors of Thailand with this refreshing Thai Spice Sweet Tea. The combination of aromatic spices, tamarind paste, and creamy coconut milk creates a unique twist on traditional sweet tea.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/4 cups water
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 3 whole star anise
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon tamarind paste (optional)
  • 1/3 cup white sugar, or to taste
  • 5 bags rooibos tea
  • 2 bags black tea
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk, blended smooth

Instructions

  1. Prepare Spice Blend: In a saucepan, combine water, cardamom pods, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and tamarind paste. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Brew Tea: Add rooibos tea, black tea bags, and sugar to the spice mixture. Steep for 5 minutes, then strain into a pitcher.
  3. Serve: Stir in blended coconut milk and chill. Serve over ice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to taste for desired sweetness.
  • For a creamier texture, add more coconut milk.
