Sauces and Seasonings

  • 1 jar (8 ounces) salsa
  • 3 tablespoons Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix (or one taco seasoning packet)
  • ¼ cup water
  • ⅓ cup Best Guacamole Recipe
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup taco sauce (or salsa)

  • 1012 cherry tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 12 cups Mexican blend cheese, shredded

Shells and Bases

  • 8 hard shells

Instructions

  1. Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add 3 tablespoons of homemade taco seasoning and ¼ cup of water, stirring to combine. Then incorporate half a jar of salsa into the meat mixture.
  2. Simmer the Meat Mixture: Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Use this time to chop vegetables and prepare condiment bowls. Once simmered, transfer the meat to a serving bowl and position it in the center of your serving tray. Arrange hard and soft taco shells on opposite sides of the tray for easy access.
  3. Prepare and Arrange Toppings: Portion all desired toppings such as shredded chicken, cheese, peppers, diced tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, and taco sauce into small bowls. Place these bowls around the shells and meat on the tray, including serving utensils for convenience.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Present the taco charcuterie board to your guests and let them build their own tacos with the variety of ingredients provided, creating a personalized and interactive dining experience.
