Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350ºF and line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch glass baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy removal of the brownies.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the 2 large eggs, melted butter (½ cup or 113g), and 1 tsp of vanilla extract using a fork until well combined and smooth.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Stir in the 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix and ½ tsp salt using a spatula until fully incorporated. The batter will be thick and dense.
  4. Transfer batter to pan: Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to gently press and smooth the surface.
  5. Bake the brownies: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center appears puffy and cooked through.
  6. Cool the brownies: Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before glazing.
