Ingredients

Scale

Juice and Fruit

  • 1¾ cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (from 812 lemons), strained
  • ½ pound (8 oz.) raspberries, plus more for serving

Liquid and Sweetener

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar

Garnish

  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh mint, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lemon juice: Squeeze fresh lemons to yield 1¾ cups of lemon juice and strain to remove seeds and pulp for a smooth lemonade base.
  2. Blend raspberries and sugar: In a blender, combine the 8 oz. of raspberries with 1 cup of sugar. Blend until smooth, breaking down the berries fully to release their flavor and color.
  3. Mix ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the strained lemon juice, blended raspberry mixture, and 5 cups of water. Stir thoroughly until the sugar is fully dissolved and all components are well incorporated.
  4. Chill the lemonade: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and serve cold for the best taste experience.
  5. Serve: Pour the chilled raspberry lemonade into glasses and garnish with fresh lemon wedges and sprigs of fresh mint. Add extra raspberries if desired for a decorative touch.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar quantity to taste if you prefer a sweeter or more tart lemonade.
  • For a sparkling version, substitute 2 cups of water with sparkling water when serving.
  • If fresh raspberries are not available, frozen raspberries can be used—thaw before blending.
  • Use a fine sieve if you want a seedless lemonade.
  • Serve over ice for an extra refreshing drink.
