Instructions

  1. Make the Cranberry Pomegranate Syrup: Combine the pomegranate seeds, sugar, and cranberry juice cocktail in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture thickens slightly, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and strain out the seeds to yield a smooth syrup. Allow to cool before use.
  2. Mix the Cocktail Base: In a cocktail shaker, pour 2 oz of Madam Pattirini Gin, 3/4 oz of the prepared cranberry pomegranate syrup, 1/2 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 oz of egg white. The egg white will give the cocktail a frothy texture and smooth mouthfeel.
  3. Dry Shake: Shake the mixture vigorously without ice for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create a frothy foam.
  4. Shake With Ice: Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Strain and Serve: Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass, preferably a coupe or cocktail glass, to remove ice shards and ensure a smooth drink.
