5 from 57 reviews

Refreshing Peach Iced Tea with Mint and Honey combines ripe peaches, black tea, and fresh mint for a naturally sweetened summer beverage perfect for cooling down on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit and Herbs

  • 1 pound ripe peaches (about 3 medium)
  • 1 large lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh mint leaves, plus more to serve

Sweetener and Tea

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 8 black tea bags
  • 8 cups filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peaches: Wash the peaches thoroughly and cut them into quarters, removing the pits. This will help release their juice and flavor into the tea.
  2. Brew the Tea: In a large heatproof pitcher or pot, bring the 8 cups of filtered water just to a boil. Remove from heat and add the 8 black tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes, then remove and discard the tea bags.
  3. Add Honey and Peach: While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until completely dissolved. Then add the quartered peaches to the tea and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, letting the peaches infuse the tea with their natural sweetness and flavor.
  4. Chill and Add Mint: Once cooled, add the fresh mint leaves and lemon slices to the tea. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until well chilled to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve: Before serving, stir the peach iced tea gently. Pour into glasses filled with ice, garnish with extra fresh mint leaves, and enjoy this refreshing, naturally sweetened iced tea.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor infusion.
  • Adjust honey quantity based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a stronger peach flavor, muddle some peaches before adding to tea.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Optionally, garnish with lemon wedges or additional mint for presentation.
