Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • For the Sauce:
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken: In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, and cream. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Serve: Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize the seasoning of the chicken by adding herbs or spices to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • For a lighter version, you can bake the chicken in the oven instead of pan-frying.
