  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.
  3. Layer Casserole: In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture. Repeat the layers.
  4. Mix Sauce: In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Pour over the layered ingredients.
  5. Add Cheese: Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and the potatoes are cooked through.
