For the Chicken Marinade:
- 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or mint)
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Gyros:
- 4 pita bread rounds
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced red onions
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Marinate the Chicken: Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add the chicken slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the Tzatziki Sauce: Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate until ready to use.
- Grill the Chicken: Cook the marinated chicken slices on a grill or stovetop until fully cooked.
