Cranberry Brie Bites are delightful, bite-sized appetizers perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion. Ingredients

Scale

Puff Pastry

  • 2 sheets puff pastry dough

Cheese

  • 8 ounces Brie cheese

Toppings

  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • ⅓ cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 5 sprigs rosemary, cut into 1-inch pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the pastry bites evenly.
  2. Prepare the puff pastry: Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each sheet into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the cups of a mini muffin tin to form little pastry shells.
  3. Add the Brie cheese: Cut the Brie cheese into small pieces just slightly smaller than the pastry cups and place one piece into each pastry shell.
  4. Add cranberry sauce: Spoon about a teaspoon of whole berry cranberry sauce on top of the Brie in each cup.
  5. Top with pecans and rosemary: Sprinkle finely chopped pecans evenly over the cranberry sauce and place one small sprig piece of rosemary on top of each bite for a fragrant touch.
  6. Bake the bites: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed and the Brie is melted and bubbly.
  7. Cool and serve: Remove the cranberry Brie bites from the oven and allow them to cool for about 5 minutes before carefully removing them from the tin. Serve warm or at room temperature for the best flavor experience.

Notes

  • Use puff pastry sheets that are thawed but still cold for easier handling.
  • If you prefer, whole pecans can be used instead of chopped for added crunch.
  • Rosemary adds an aromatic flavor but can be omitted if preferred or substituted with thyme.
  • These bites can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute Brie with a vegan cheese alternative.
