Spice Mix
- 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Bowls
- 2–3 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 500 grams lean beef mince
- Lettuce, shredded
- Cheese, dairy-free or regular, sliced or shredded
- Pickle slices
For the Burger Sauce
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice (from the jar of pickles)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Prepare the Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano or mixed herbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
- Cook the Potatoes: Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Wash and dice the medium potatoes into bite-size pieces. Toss them in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and spread evenly on a baking tray. Roast for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through for even cooking.
- Cook the Beef: While the potatoes are roasting, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean beef mince and sprinkle the prepared spice mix over it. Stir and cook, breaking the mince apart, until it’s browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Make the Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the Bowls: In serving bowls, place a bed of shredded lettuce. Top with roasted potatoes and cooked beef mince. Add cheese and pickle slices on top. Drizzle generously with the homemade burger sauce.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve your burger bowls immediately while everything is warm. Mix ingredients together to enjoy the classic burger flavors without the bun.

- If you prefer, you can cook the potatoes in an air fryer for about 20 minutes at 200°C, shaking halfway through.
- Adjust the spice levels by adding chili powder or cayenne pepper for heat.
- Leftover burger sauce keeps well refrigerated for up to 3 days.
