Ingredients

Scale

Avocado Drizzle

  • 1 large ripe avocado, pitted
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (from 2 small limes)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Toppings and Base

  • 8 slices of bacon or turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled (2 per flatbread)
  • 4 flatbreads
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Shredded lettuce (about 1 cup)
  • Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 to 1 1/2 cups)
  • Dash of ground oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) to prepare for warming the flatbreads and melting the cheese.
  2. Warm Flatbreads and Melt Cheese: Arrange the flatbreads on a large cookie sheet without overlapping. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese evenly over each flatbread. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the flatbreads are warmed through and the cheese has melted.
  3. Make Avocado Drizzle: While the flatbreads bake, scoop the flesh of the ripe avocado into a blender or food processor. Add lime juice, sour cream, milk, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy consistency is achieved.
  4. Assemble Flatbreads: Once the flatbreads are heated and cheese melted, top each with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, crumbled bacon, and a dash of dried oregano.
  5. Drizzle and Serve: Spoon the creamy avocado drizzle over each assembled BLT flatbread pizza evenly. Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, fresh flavors.

Notes

  • You can substitute turkey bacon for traditional bacon for a leaner option.
  • If you don’t have a blender or food processor, a hand mixer or fork can be used to mash the avocado and mix the drizzle ingredients.
  • Feel free to add extra toppings like red onion slices or jalapeño for added flavor.
  • Use freshly made or store-bought flatbreads depending on availability.
  • Adjust the amount of lime juice and seasoning in the avocado drizzle to taste.
