Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 count) biscuit dough
  • 8 oz Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese, cut into 0.5 oz blocks
  • 4 pieces bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
  • ¼ tablespoon salted butter, melted
  • Oregano, to taste
  • Tillamook Farm Style Thick Cuts Cheddar Cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bacon: Cook the 4 pieces of bacon until crispy. Once cooked, chop them into small pieces and set aside.
  2. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready when the biscuits are prepared.
  3. Assemble the Bombs: Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit gently into a thin round. Place one piece (approximately 0.5 oz) of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese in the center of each flattened biscuit, then top with some chopped bacon pieces.
  4. Seal the Dough: Carefully fold and pinch the edges of each biscuit around the cheese and bacon to seal it completely, forming a ball or “bomb”.
  5. Add Toppings: Brush the tops of each biscuit bomb with melted salted butter. Sprinkle a bit of oregano on top for added flavor and then generously sprinkle with Tillamook Farm Style Thick Cuts Cheddar Cheese.
  6. Bake: Place the assembled bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the bombs to cool for a few minutes after removing from the oven. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • You can substitute the cheddar with any sharp cheese of your choice, but Tillamook provides a rich flavor.
  • Make sure to seal the biscuit dough tightly to avoid cheese oozing out during baking.
  • Try adding herbs like rosemary or thyme for a different twist.
  • Serve these bombs with a side of marinara or ranch dip for added flavor.
