Air Fryer Honey Mustard Salmon Bites

Crispy, juicy, and coated in a sweet and tangy honey mustard glaze, these air fryer salmon bites are quick to make and bursting with flavor. They’re perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or crowd-pleasing appetizers—all in under 20 minutes.

  • 500 g (about 1 lb) skinless salmon fillets, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1½ tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: chili flakes (for heat), chopped parsley or chives (for garnish)
  • Olive oil spray (for the air fryer basket)

Instructions

  • Make the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.

  • Marinate the Salmon: Add the salmon cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let sit for 10–15 minutes for deeper flavor, or proceed directly to cooking.

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and preheat for 2–3 minutes. Lightly spray the basket with olive oil.

  • Air Fry the Salmon: Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding. Air fry for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the salmon is golden on the edges and cooked through.

 

  • Serve: Garnish with parsley or chives, and serve immediately with rice, salad, or your favorite sides.

  • Fish type: Use center-cut fillets for evenly sized pieces that cook uniformly.

  • Flavor swaps: Substitute maple syrup for honey or use whole grain mustard for a rustic twist.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes at 180°C (350°F).

  • Don’t overcook: Salmon dries out quickly—remove once it flakes easily with a fork.
