  • 4 slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, or to taste (optional)
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, half of the Cheddar cheese, bacon, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut Pastry: Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the egg mixture on one half of each square.
  4. Seal and Bake: Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling to create a triangle. Press the edges to seal and brush with melted butter. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
